World Worble 3: Ceasefire Offer

World Worble 3: Ceasefire Offer

The war on logic and reason continues uninhibited with bombshells being dropped all over and no end in sight.

So as a result the allies are calling for a ceasefire.

It is obvious that this war is an affront to our collective dignities and so in the spirit of the Season of Goodwill to All Men (and women) we will offer a cease fire under certain conditions.

We believe that these conditions are both reasonable and will prevent further unintended casualties.

It is obvious that we the Allies have proven that we can produce as much thoughtless crap at the same pace as you can. Despite us thinking that our crap is much much funnier we are willing make some concessions in the interest of peace. We believe that we have also proven that we can continue to produce and deploy our weapons long into future if we so choose. Such a prospect gives us no pleasure because we do not enjoy conflict for the sake of conflict. Yet if no ceasefire is possible then the conflict could easily escalate and bigger weapons of mass delusion are sought.

So what are the conditions that request for a ceasefire?

Respect for other opinions

The right to agree to disagree

Stop the name calling and insults

Provide clear and direct evidence when requested

Common Courtesy toward those that you oppose

No false accusations – Liberal, Traitors etc

No Bot clones of yourself to look like you have an army of supporters.

We will wait to see whether you can agree to these conditions.

We can seek a neutral party host talks and eventually seek the end of World Worble 3: Firstly to formalize the conditions of the ceasefire; then to examine the reasons for the original conflict and finally the settlement of grievances.

However if we fail to reach agreement I fear that this conflict will be passed onto another generation of Orbler’s who will know nothing but badly written rhetoric and cryptic messages. (Hardly the stuff of intellectual progression)

And so we will wait for your answer until which the status quo will remain.

ah but Damo, those conditions you put forward, they are our overall objectives. We are not in this to make people think like us, we are here to discuss our collective opinions in a civlized manner. Ultimately that's our goal.

This ceasefire you propose is actually our victory conditions.

The purpose of a ceasefire is to engage in triumphalism.
Such things are inflamatory and destroy the ability to negotiate.
This is in no way meant to demand the surrender of any oppinions.

The offer is out there because I see no point or purpose in this braindead line.

Hey Damo, respect must be mutual, and a ceasefire must be sought to benefit both sides. Can a ceasefire be reached? As Ahmed stated victory conditions.

I feel that for a ceasefire to occur all parties must feel that they have something to gain. I am always willing to show respect where respect is given, and where common courteous is given to return it in kind.

You are right this current line of brain-dead rhetoric is going no where, but ones values, and beliefs must not be compromised.

I don't see why we can't debate without becoming nasty, and mean to one another. If we would listen to each other you might find that we agree more than we disagree, or at least find common ground on which to engage with respect.

You can discount Ahmed's statement as he is only air his personal opinions. I respect his right to make them but as you can see I disagree with his viewpoint. Ahmed's view are not mine.

Cease fire conditions have nothing to do with grievences and fault but just conditions of the cease fire. Simply put you cannot talk grievence if you cannot talk to each other.

Keep in mind a cease fire is not peace but onlt sets the conditions for peace talks. No one has won yet.

So bottom line is:
Firstly do you personally accept the conditions of the cease fire.
Secondly you can speak for yourself only and we will respect that.

but
we also need the other party to personally accept the conditions too.

Damo I can only speak for myself, as I do wish to see a calming of the waters, as negativity never accomplishes anything.

I will remain civil, and will do my best to be kind, but you know it takes two to argue.

I apologised for my sarcastic presentation on the post in question; the reply didn't sound very civil though, hahahaha!!!

Speaking strictly for myself and no one else, I love to see differences of opinion debated, as long as each side sticks to valid point/counterpoint, even if there is a little vitriol at times. In the interest of peace, though, I agree to be more civil.

Simply namecalling though? Lazy. Offensive. Last resort of the dullwitted.

As for "botfriends", I can guarantee I won't use any.

I think the person who needs to see this post is S.L. Bradish.

Thanks for yopur reply.
I won't get hung up on the details of the cease fire too much. They were just talking points.
Since you can only speak for yourself we can only offer the ceasefire agreement to you. However we are remaining unilaterally in a state of ceasefire with the other member of your party for now.
We have like to have had her agree also but no one can force the point.
Any way I will continue to offer this ceasefire as the interim to future peace talks over the causes of this battle.

DA
Slow down there.
This is only a ceasefire not a love fest. You make me feel all hippy. Hehehe. The world still needs satire.

Yes I agree even dificult subject can be tackled if some ground rules are set.

The Bot friends is an issue that may need to be addressed for us to accept a cease fire with SLB.
However we are not here to accuse anyone of using them. Just to endure that we all agree that they are pointless, obvious and have no place in any debate.

Cease fire first then truth and reconcilliation after that.

Have fun
Damo
