Should people responsible for causing the stolen generation stand trial for it?

I was watching a documentary a little while ago and that after the second world war when the Nazi was been put on trial, they used an argument saying that the way the Britsh treated some of the natives from their colonizing country was never been trial and how Americans treated American Indians during the early days has never been put on trial either. So the Nazi should not be trial.
In that time the British and Americans argue that their behavior is different to the Nazies so it is not inappropriate. But the truth is, those behavior our ancestors conduct really are also acts of evil, just like the Nazies, disregards to whether it is just as evil as the Nazies or not and strictly saying those who were in charge of conducting those act of cruelty sould be charge under international laws e.g. war crime.
This got me thinking, here in Australia should the politicians responsible for causing the Stolden Generation stand trial within the court of law, also? (Whether it is an Australia court or international court) I mean in my opinion, they should be charge for kidnapping for conducting the stolen Generation, what do you think?
