Tessa James is a married woman!

Tessa James, best known for playing Nicole Franklin on Home and Away, has married NRL star Nate Myles in an intimate Melbourne ceremony just days before Christmas.

The young starlet couldn't contain her joy over marrying the man she calls her best friend.

"I am so very, very lucky to have Nate in my life. And it was the best day," she said in an exclusive interview with New Idea.

Myles added: "I loved it and wouldn't change anything. It was perfect."

Tessa is 20 years old
