My left ear hurts like hell this week end

Hi, guys, need some advice. I was going to go to the doctor for this original but since it seem to be getting better, I decided not to.
I woke up this Saturday with this sharp stabbing pain inside my left ear and then it disappear but when a e.g. burp the pain came back. It lasted throughout Saturday and Sunday.
And when I try to blow my nose, my ear felt like a black hole where everything is been sucked inwards
I was originally going to go to the doctors today. But when I woke up this morning it has gotten better, but now it itch like hell. I take it as getting better, so I didn't went to the doctors.
So, do any body have any input, advice for me?
