China's 2009 New Mulan Movie Starting Actress Zhao Wei and Jaycee Chan (Jackie Chan's Son)

Mulan is one of the most classic novel within China's history, frequently mistaken to be historical fact itself, because in China's history there were at least four female knights and Genernals that is actually name Mulan.
Mulan have been made into numerous screen play ever since, one of the most famous would be the Disney animated version, although within the Disney version, Mulan never made the rank of General like the original Novel or most future movie remake.
The latest Mulan movie, was made in 2009, starring Actress Zhao Wei and Jaycee Chan (Jackie Chan's elder son)
The story line starrted very similar to the Disney version but driffted to a completely different direction afterwards.
In this 2009 Chinese version, Mulan (Played by Zhoa Wei) is the daughter of a formal Lieutenant of the Chinese army. At his elderly age, Mulan's father was been recalled back to serve in the army, in response to the Mongolia invasion.
Within the army, Mulan met up with her cousion, Tiger (played by Jaycee Chan, who is Jackie Chan's son.) who helped her to keep her identity as a woman secrcet.
However, when the special identity card of the son of a goverment official who was serving as an Lieutenant within the army got stolen, then Lieutenant Colonel in charge, expect every soldier to strip naked for check. Unable to stripe like the others Mulan told the Colonel that she was the one that took the identiy card, in return the Colonel decided to execute her.
Captain Wentai (Play by Chen Kun) who was the commanding officer of Mulan's company, realize something doesn't add up and went to Mulan's cell to tell her to explain herself, learning Mulan is really a woman, he arranged for Mulan's escape. However, in prior to escaping, the division Mulan was serving in, got ambushed by enemy forces and the Colonel himself got killed. Mulan rejoined the battle, Captain Wentai who was now in charge order Mulan to send a message back to the Generals command camp, but it was impossible with the over whelming number of enemy. However, Mulan managed to killed numerous enemy soldier, including the commanding officer the Mongolia raiding party.
With all of the more senior commanders of the division dead, Captain Wentai took charge. He believe Mulan have potential and is willing to train her to became an officer. Mulan eventually make officer rank and became Wentai's second in command. Fearless in battle Wentai eventually made the rank of General with Mulan still as his second in command.
However, within a battle, Wentai got ambushed and went missing in battle, presumed dead. Mulan took over Wentai's command and became a General. But Mulan was in too much of a sorrow to put her act together and be the leader her men needed.
As a General Mulan implemented a new technique that is able to destroy the Mongolia invasion once and for all. The technique was been approved by the Chief General and assign Mulan twenty thousand men, to engage the Mongolia force and then withdraw to the death vaillie to lure the Mongolia into it, once then the rest of the Chinese army attack from behind with Mulan's forces attacking from the front killing the Mongolia forces trap in between.
However, sudden weather changes made the originally perfect plan more complicated. To allow Mulan's forces to withdraw perfectly, Tiger led his platoon of light infatry swordsmen to hold off the enemy attack.
Once reaching death vallie, Mulan forces found themselves abandon, without the supply or reinforcment that they need and expected. The rest of the Chinese army have withdraw returning to China.
Mulan found her force to be all that is left between the homeland and the Mongolia army, once the Mongolia break through their defense the Mongoloia force will take the entire China with little effort.
Low on supply and seriously injured herself, Mulan order her forces to stay firm against the Mongolia force.
In the end, Wentai who escape from the ambush by disgusiting himself as army private, return. Knowing the situation Wentai did the only thing he could to get the Mongolia force to withdraw, he reveal his real identity as a prince of China, the seventh eldest son of the Emperor himself and ask for the Monogolia army to take his life in return for the life of his men.
The Mongolia General agree to the term arrested Wentai and took him away and left for the time been, leaving behind the medics of the Mogolia army to help the Chinese.
Knowing the situation, Mulan lateronwards left the command of her force to her second in command and sneak into the Mongolia camp, by herself to rescuse Wentai. She soon found out that, most of the soldiers within the Mongolia force are sick of fighting and their General Mendu (play by Hu Jun) is much hated by the Mongolians who believe there is a diplomatic solution to their problem with China. Knowing that, Mulan joined forces with Mendu's sister Rouran princess (play by Angel Liu) and Gude (play by Vista) a Russian who was serving as a Mongolia slave after the Mongolians capture his homeland, to assessenate Mendu.
The assessnation's success lead to the end of the war between China and Mongolia.
Upon her return to China, Mulan learned that the Emperor has executed the Chief General for treason, for abadoning the war and leading his troops back to China. Knowing that Mulan is a woman the Emperor has also managed to change the law, to allow woman to serve in the defense force and wanted to promote Mulan to the position of Defense Minister within the Imperial Court. To keep the peace between China and Mongolia the Emperor arranged the marriage between Wentai and the mongolia princess.
By this time Mulan has left home for twelve years. Mulan refused the position to become defense minister and hang in her resign to the Emperor, saying that her only wish is to go home. Mulan's wish was granded, she was allow to retire from the army, but kept her title as a General, she return home in the company of soldiers under her command as tradition and put on woman's cloth again. Wentai came over to Mulan's house to see Mulan one last time before he is getting married .
