Burma Manga Magic for Aung San Suu Kyi.
For a time it was claimed that people were only really famous if they were written up on wiki but not it seems that you can do one better. When you are immortalized in Manga Anime it seems that you have become larger than life.
This is precisely what has happened with Aung San Suu Kyi, the political leader and Nobel Prize Winner, who has been under house arrest in Burma for the past decade. A comic first written in 1994 has been released in English for the first time.
The title of the comic book is: : Tatakau Kujaku (“Aung San Suu Kyi: The Fighting Peacock”), by cartoonist Akazu Mizuha. Orders can be made on line via the Irrawaddy New Web Site for a cost of US$3.00 for individuals and US$30.00 for institutes with profits going to Burma Relief Activities.
