Hacker gets my vote for Prized Nong of the Year.
Gary McKinnon is about to be extradited to the USA for hacking into the defence network and crashing computers. He stands accused of causing $1 million damage after accessing 97 military computers and forcing 300 others to crash.
US prosecutor alleged that McKinnon had pulled the biggest hacking job in history.
McKinnon an unemployed systems analyst claims that was trying to uncover evidence of Extra Terrestrials and expose weakness in security.
Now as he awaits extraction to face trial he is facing up to 10 years in prison for his hobby. Had McKinnon been aware of how traceable his activities were then perhaps he would never have tried to hack into a USA military establishment.

The problem with covering you tracks is that you cannot do it on the Internet. Hackers may be brilliant in one area but if they ever contemplate hacking into national security sites then they will get caught. They leave a trail that any buffoon could follow.
I think ET may let him rot as a lesson to others.
