Do you think Barack Obama should get a Nobel Peace Price right now?

Do you think President Barack Obama should get a nobel peace price right now? Or maybe that consideration should only come into existence by the time he finish his eight years and two terms of presidency? Or maybe something else?

What is your thought on this?

Hi Peter,

frankly, I am of the old school, which expects; that a Noble Prize nominee, let alone a recipient of theNoble Prize, has actually achieved great things and made, in the case of the Peace Prize, a real and tangible contribution to the world.

Obama seems like a great guy and I welled with tears when he won, at last I thought, America can claim to truly be the 'UNITED" States of America, black, white, yellow and everyone in between.

However, my worry with Obama is, like the handling of the bad bankers who caused the financial crisis, he talks the talk, but doesn't end up walking the walk.

Until he starts making those criminals pay, and ridding the planet of nukes etc, he is merely all hot air, smoke and mirrors, the master of rhetoric and feel good empty promises.

So, lets pray he lives up to the award and achieves something.

I think Obama is a great leader, but until he finish his eight years of legacy can we decide whether he should get a nobel peace price, base on his legacy.

Peter, yes, I agree, Obama already deserves our appreciation and respect, just for sticking to his guns and getting elected, defeating those criminals in the Republican Party.

However, one thing, the President of the USA only gets a four year term, then he must go to election again, but, he can only run twice, so eight years at most.
