Bush to Middle East - I come in peace to sell you another war.
Game over for the Middle East and the Iraq War we have Pres Bush flying over to make his last year in office a memorable one. George Bush Saviour and War President is changing his image to George Bush the Peacemaker. He has packed everything he needs to uphold his own self image (some may say self delusion) of how he wishes to be remembered. The Israeli Palestine roadmap has been given a new map as he tries to do one thing he has never been able to do in the past: negotiate peace.
The bleeding obvious is wasted upon those that see blood of the enemy as cheap and on those that refuse to make even the slightest compromise. Yet here is telling off Israel for building illegally in the occupied territories and making friends with the Palestinian president. For now the West Bank is the forgotten bank and where ever this road map was going it does not seem to have a clear destination yet.
The other issue that Pax Bush has been politely mentioning (okay nagging) is his absolute fear of Iran. He has taken every opportunity to argue that Iran is the greatest threat to peace in the world today. He argued this in the UAE and he argued in Israel and he argued in Saudi. In fact if Iran did not exist he may need to invent it because he loves the way it fits the speeches so well.
Now the Peaceful President is offering his greatest legacy to the Middle East to date more weapons in the hands of friendly dictators. A massive sale of weapons of over $15 to $20 billion is being sold to Saudi Arabia by the Bush Administration. What a wonderful place the world will be now that Pax Bush has been to the Middle East and sold more weapons.
So in a nut shell: the Israeli/ Palestine conflict will be passed on to his successor to sort out; Iran is still being threatened despite having no nuclear weapons programs and the Saudi Arabian dictator are handed even more weapons to help maintain their dictatorship. Did I miss anything?
Oh yes, we should thank Pax Bush for the hike in fuel costs that has more than doubled since the Iraq War.

Thanks for your comments.
You can't have an oxymoron without the moron.
Blood kings do not usually become kings of peace.
Yet many have feared that they would only be remembered for those whom they have killed.

Just be glad that I wasn't president, as the knee jerk reactionary that I am, the populace of Iran, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and others would be living in bomb craters and eating abandoned field rations. By comparison, Bush is a model of reason and compassion.

In comparison Stalin Hitler is a boy scout.
In comparison to Mao Stalin is a piker.
I fail to see the point of your logic.

Bush will be judged by who is writing history after he has gone.
They will compare his policies against other presidents in the post war era. The question of accountability and justice will be a big issue.
Where does the buck stop?
My BS detector is running on overload if you think he will be considered a great president.
