It's a pretty misguided attempt to gain attention for their unpaid wages. A class action suit would be far more effective. The issue is serious; there's $10 million owing to the airline's staff in unpaid wages, but all that most men are thinking about now is an outdated image of sexy flight attendants. How sad for everyone involved.

It's no secret, anonymous (Peter?) Thankfully I've found myself a good one who is equally saddened by this sort of thing.

Imagine if (let's be really stereotypical here) a bunch of truck drivers had been denied 9 months' wages. There would be an absolute furore: strikes, attention from REAL media outlets (ninemsn.com doesn't count), rallies, and action from government parties. No nude calendars, no "isn't that sexy". They'd be taken seriously because they were taking themselves seriously, and they'd get their money back (in time). All these women have done is set themselves up for being objectified, and counter-sued if they do ever launch a class action suit. I doubt they'll ever see their lost wages. Does no-one else see the problem here?
