A Celebration of Conspiracy Theories: What is your favourite?

Scratch you average person and you will find out what makes them itch. Their fears, apprehensions, prejudices, misconceptions, myths and superstitions can all be itching to get out. Yet we are a much more sophisticated people than we were back in the bad old pre WW2 days when racism and bigotry was socially acceptable and Hitler was just having a go at rampant political correctness. Yes humanity is more sophisticated but are we any more mature than the days when we lived in caves and picked flee off each other? We say that we are no longer a bunch of primitives living in fear of the dark and the monsters that may be out there but I have my doubts. Instead of beasts in the night we invented new monsters that are just a plausible and that monster is called a conspiracy theory.

I am not here to condemn the conspiracy theorists but rather to celebrate their contribution to our culture. The perfect circular logic of a conspiracy theory has to be admired. Even with overwhelming evidence to debunk and question its conclusion there is no destroying it because the debunking is just another conspiracy. We are being asked by Conspiracy Theorist to think about it; to question; to wise up; to find the hidden truth; to catch out the ‘evil doers’ and then destroy their towers of deception. I actually love the way they think, it is a perfect loop of argument supported by carefully chosen examples. Everything that does not prove the argument is rejected because that is part of the conspiracy to keep us from knowing the ‘Truth.’ You cannot reason with this logic, even if the person pretends to listen, because their conclusion was drawn long before they went off to find the evidence to support it. If you want to believe that the Illuminati exist then you can always find the evidence to satisfy that belief.

So rather than condemn the Conspiracy Theories of the world I wish to celebrate them and pay tribute to their wonderful regression to our primitive origins. So in order celebrate I will give examples of some of my favourite ‘Conspiracy Theories’ and the fears that they trigger.

The Illuminati
paris
Killer Cars, what next?

I actually like this theory because of how it links into every aspect of everything that happens on the planet. The alien lizard hybrid Illuminati are running this planet against our best interests like scientists do with ant farms. We are just little ants being forced to act in ways that we cannot control and do not know why. It does not matter why they want control over our little planet but we do know it is all about control. This theory taps into the fear of Big Brother and loss of control over your free will.

The Jesuits under the Bed

9-11
So the Jesuits did it? I always suspected as much.

Before there were Reds under the bed and before there were Islamo-Fascists under the bed there were evil Jesuits under the bed. The proof of the Jesuit sneekiness is in the fact that they are so well educated and therefore smart-arses. Everything from fallen governments to state sponsored terrorism is blamed on Jesuits under the bed.
Here is a site that continues the tradition of exposing the Jesuits for the 9-11 attacks: Really Long Link
You have to put this theory in to historical context of the Catholic vs Protestant propaganda wars. It is more of a survivor of that era than newly exposed secret. Jesuits were really code for Papists within society that must be routed out.

Masons

I think I can build an argument for this being pretty much a self inflicted wound. For years they sold them self as a secret society with secret knowledge and the power to control your careers. Join us and have your promotion handed to you by other member of the society. Like the fish tank in Dr No they were happy to tell everyone how big they were but also created a whole series of conspiracy theories about everyone else. Dan Brown’s Di Vinci Code was largely based up a book called Holy Blood Holy Grail which was written by a senior mason. An ugly court battle followed and Dan Brown won.
Yet the folk law lives on and the Mason have sometimes become code for Illuminati. Yet whatever power they may have had seems to have demised over the last 50 years as anti-discrimination laws were introduced. Yet occasionally they do get pulled out of the cupboard as the all powerful planet controllers.
The use of pentagrams, swearing of oaths above the law and that goat hasn’t helped their image. I suspect that they will remain a perpetual token of menace.

And the Holy Grail is a woman. Okay?

Zionist Bankers

Hitler’s favourite justification for the oppression of the Jews was easy to promote. Jews in Germany were denied most other professional jobs except boring old banking. Banks have money, the world had a depression and bingo it was all the fault of the Zionist Bankers. Versions of this conspiracy theory still perpetuate today and is sometimes referred to as the ‘International Zionist Conspiracy.’ Often the theorists refer to ‘The New World Order’ and will use a document called ‘The Protocols of the Elders of Zion’ as proof of this. The fact that the document was forged and was part of a Russian Czarist effort to find a social scapegoat for their failing regime is lost on these Conspiracy Theorists. Some people claim that the British Royal Family are a Zionist front trying to destroy the USA and that the Pope was replaced with a Jew.
The Theory taps in to the desire to find scapegoats and justify anti-Semitism.

This is just a taste of some of my favourite wacky theories that I have grown to enjoy over the years. Like all good stories they are adaptable to suit all circumstances and points in history. Doom gloom, fear of oppression and mind control are just a few. Yet it is they was that each can overlap and support each other. Zionist plots, Vatican Zionists, Illuminati Institutions, Masonic Illuminati and Zionist Papist Illuminati Mason Aliens all tap into the justification of prejudice, fear and bigotry. So feel free to contribute and add your own conspiracy theory, I wish to celebrate them all.

How to start a Mind Control Cult Video.

November 29th 2007 01:28
How to start a Mind Control Cult Video.
KAOS
Where does one begin?

I could spend all day researching facts and figures about destructive cults then create a post that most people would ignore. The bad cults are bad and few would disagree so there is a ‘So what?’ attitude about the whole subject. The only time the fight actually gets interesting is when a Cult member springs to the defense of the indefensible and in doing so provides entertainment for us all.

Watch this film. It is a hoot.

Yet I cannot help but feel that I have been missing the point. Years ago I visited the compound of an old friend who had set his own little Cult (I was curious to see how far he had gone) and was given the grand tour. In glowing but slightly nervous term I was told about how his interpretation of the Bible was the correct one and how he knew the correct path. Membership was a grand total of 40 followers who spent weekends sitting under trees playing guitar and singing Christian pop songs. The sin free environment included such suggestions (implied commandments) as only listening to Christian Pop and not smoking on church land. God apparently said so in one of the ‘Speaking in Tongues’ sessions and to this day I cannot comprehend how this practice works.

So you have all these people hanging around with over enthusiastic smiles and living in dread of accidentally sinning. It was like a pressure cooker of niceness or some sickly sweet cake where the only thing I wanted do after leaving the place was to roll in some dust and listen to some heavy metal music to compensate. My conclusion of this miniature ‘one and only true religion’ was like the addition that Ford Prefect had added to the ‘Hitchhikers’ Guide to the Galaxy’: Mostly Harmless. Strangely despite trying to recruit everyone they knew including trying to hijack other mainstream church congregations they never tried to recruit me. Perhaps they overhead me muttering to myself, “I could have done it better.”

So years later the little cult dissolved like so many other small businesses that fail to grasp what they are there for. The only thing that made this cult ‘Mostly Harmless’ is the fact that they genuinely wanted to be ‘Harmless’. Sooner or later they would become slim pickings for a bigger Cult or New Religious Movement that encompassed their main objective and at the same time offered more senior unpaid positions without the risk of sudden implosion. Hillsong anyone?

However for those that are not benevolent here is the best film I have seen on how to set up a Cult that is not ‘Mostly Harmless’. This is a video on how to set up a Mind Controlling Cult.

Enjoy and be like a god. It is worth a look. The advice is excellent.

Bernie Banton

The knowledge that death was certain long and painful did not deter Bernie Banton from taking up the fight of his life. He was the face struggling to breath as he carried a small oxygen bottle with him where ever he went. His battle was not just with asbestosis which was slowly strangling his lung capacity but also for compensation from the corporate giant James Hardy. This was a fight that James Hardy were determined to win at all costs

What Killed off Howard’s re-election

What Killed off Howard’s re-election

The landslide (now dubbed as the Ruddslide) against the Howard government continues as votes are still being counted for a few remaining seats. Howard’s words of encouragement saying, “I still think we can win,” seem a little comical after such a huge swing against his party. Even his own seat in the parliament is on the verge of being lost as preferences are being counted. To simply claim that this swing was due to boredom and an “It’s Time” factor indicates unwillingness to look for deeper reasons for discontent. Many would argue that this is simply denial. Large swings against sitting governments are an indication of discontentment against the incumbent

Kevin Rudd becomes PM

Kevin Rudd becomes PM

Last night Kevin Rudd became the 26th Prime Minister of Australia since federation. In what time a long election campaign which at times became tedious and boring the result came in thick and fast. The polling companies had a variety of predicted results but the mood of the press core was to predict a very close knife edge election. The polls closed at 6pm but by 7pm, with only a small percentage counted, a trend was starting to show itself. That trend continued through the night until by 8pm some of the television presenters were predicting a Labour win

LaRouch is not a harmless crank: He is a very dangerous one.
larouch
larouch - the man and cult leader

How does one explain who Lyndon LaRouch is and what he represents? We often here the term Cult and instantly associate it with religious nuts trying to capture people in a world of eternal fear and total submission. However cults do not need to religious to be oppressive and controlling there is a whole range of non-religious, anti-religious even UFO cults that bleed people dry and then throw them away like scraps of rubbish. Lyndon LaRouch is a political cult. His movement claims to be a political movement but in essence it is a Political Cult. This Cult of Personality is all about Lyndon LaRouch and his ability to save the world. Political agendas are just a way of providing LaRouch with recruits and a purpose to remain

Media Advertising Blackout from Tomorrow: Whoo-Hoo!

Personally I had election campaign ads. They fill up television screen and put some of ugliest faces in Australia in front of my eyes. I hate the concerned looks, the worried expressions, the absolute bullocks that we must endure when I would rather be watching Benda steal Fry’s wallet again. Yet starting tonight I will be free again; free from the visual and noise pollution that is called a campaign ad. The media blackout starts tonight. Free at last; free at last; thank God I am free at last

US envoy achieves nothing in Pakistan. Are we surprised?

Despite the shuttle diplomacy and the attempts at creating a forced marriage between Musharraf and Bhutto the US envoy Deputy Secretary Negroponte is heading home without any success. Any pressure that was applied to remove the state of emergency before the elections has been answered with a flat rejection

Is the Clone Party is Over? Dolly takes a dive.
dolly
Dolly may have just got voted off the island

Well it was fun bit of pulp science fiction while it lasted. Therapeutic Cloning was the story that had every embryologist scrambling for application grants. The wave of enthusiasm was such that politicians forced urgent debates in the houses of parliament to pass legislation. $34 million was granted to one prominent scientist in Melbourne to do embryonic stem cell research. Elsewhere around the world the race was on as each developed nation suddenly found that scientist were making claims about what Embryonic Stem Cell could potentially do. There was Christopher Reeve supporting claims from his motorized wheel chair and Michael Fox on television showing how hard Parkinson’s is. The rhetorical question that was thrown up at any critic was: How could you be so uncompassionate as to deny these people hope

US Foreign Policy in Action: Pakistan

US Foreign Policy in Action

Job for life

If you want a current example of what is wrong with US foreign policy you need only look at Pakistan. The excuse of 9-11 has been used time and time again to justify dictatorships that serve only PR purposes in the ‘War on Terror.’ From the time Musharraf ceased power in a military coup there has been a steady increase in radical Islamic Militancy to the point that the Taliban can control towns within Pakistan. Yet for the sake of the invasion in Afghanistan any dictator that is not Taliban is somehow pure and good. Pundits and rightwing editorials tried paint Musharraf as noble man who was needed when democracy was failing in Pakistan. So long as Musharraf offer a path into Afghanistan, handed over prisoners and made speeches about the ‘War on Terror’ he was a ‘Good Man’. What the Bush Administration actual meant was that Musharraf was ‘Good Propaganda

Me bike, me booze and me bird. In that order.

Beyond the simplistic attitude that cartoons are for kids Manga has opted to target the young adult audience with animation that engages a completely different part of the mind that Walt Disney was aiming at. In the past we were given television gems like Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion and Marine Boy but on the cinema side there was a move away from trying to be another Disney and to make a cultural dent by producing Anime

"In order to save democracy I have decided to destroy it further."

Far from being an open and fair election Musharraf has offered nothing more than a date without any ability for opposition. The state of emergency has seen the arrest of thousands of opposition party members and the banning of public gathering. Put on top of this the controls put on the media and the dismissal of judges he opposed and you have a farce posing as an electoral process. Both BBC and CNN were banned from Pakistan. Other reporters have been expelled after writing editorials critical of Musharraf
